Question by jay82: Craftsman Tools “not made in USA”?
I realize that most Craftsman hand tools like wrenches ratchets and sockets are still made in the USA which is good. But it seems like everytime I go to Sears I see more and more China and Taiwan stamped on them. For example I exchanged a pair of Handi-Cut cutters for a new pair. The old worn pair was made in the USA and the new ones are China. Another example is the new industrial wrench set and folding prybar they have look impressive but, “made in Taiwan”. The quality looks good and probably works well but its not my point. The point is they are slowly going overseas which is sad to see and people here in the US are losing jobs because of it. Anyone else noticing this??
Yes it has been going on for awhile, just seems like Craftsman is really itching to go totally overseas lately. I agree with otto, definitely a greed thing…

its been going on for a long time. You can thank the unions for making it almost impossible to make anything in the US at a competitive price compared to china or taiwan
