Question by reborndrummer: Unable to edit in Photoshop?
When I open a photo or a current project in Photoshop, the only cursor that shows on the photo/project, no matter what icon I select, is the “Hand Tool”. I cannot crop the photo, I cannot edit the photo any way, but I can change the size of the image and I can change the mode of the photo/project. I am currently using Photoshop CS3.

When you open a new photo in Photoshop the first layer is always locked by default – just duplicate the layer and you can work on the unlocked layer.
