RedIron and SAP Showcase RapidStore at National Retail Federation Annual Convention
Groton, MA (PRWEB) January 12, 2009
Introducing RapidStore, a partnership between SAP and Gold Consulting Partner RedIron, for the implementation of SAP POS software. Robust, feature-rich and highly functional store systems solutions such as SAP’s POS software provide retailers big and small with the tools they need to survive in today’s tough economic climate – but with an investment of time and resources that’s often beyond the reach of many retailers. Now, thanks to RapidStore retailers can install a fully functional feature-rich SAP POS system in just four months and at a very attractive price tag.
RedIron’s RapidStore process will be featured at the National Retail Federation’s 98th Annual Convention and EXPO in New York City from January 11 – 14, 2009. There retailers of all sizes can learn how they can put RapidStore, and SAP POS software to work for them to help become more competitive in today’s tough retail environment.
The RapidStore Advantage
Retailers have been implementing integrated PC-based POS solutions for more than 20 years. Far too often, however, these implementations have been long in duration and costly to complete. Much of this can be attributed to the time and effort associated with getting the technology platform and functionality right. It has meant the need for a high degree of customization and complexity which translates into increased risk and eats up critical internal resources. RapidStore breaks through these obstacles by combining a “retail hardened” POS transaction technology platform with a fully configured, full-featured implementation of SAP’s proven POS software solution. It delivers an out-of-the-box high quality POS functionality that has been proven in hundreds of retail settings over the past decade. The Result? SAP POS implementation that is cost-effective and time sensitive; typical implementations are completed in 12 to 16 weeks at approximately one-half to one-third the cost of a full-scale, custom implementation.
“RapidStore takes the complexity and risk out of a SAP POS implementation,” says Tony Smart, Vice President, Professional Services, SAP Retail. “The retailer gets the benefits of an effective, efficient integrated store system much faster, making them more competitive and able to address a rapidly changing marketplace. The combination of SAP professional services and RedIron, the longest standing SAP Certification Partner for implementing, upgrading and enhancing SAP POS software solutions, delivers world class store systems to retailers that can take advantage of the RapidStore process.”
Rapid to Market Means Rapid Benefits
RedIron has completed greater than 200 SAP POS and EPOS projects over the past eight years for SAP customers with stores ranging from 27 to more than 4,000. Most recently RedIron implemented a RapidStore project for Duty Free Americas and their 135 stores.
